We would like to invite you to come worship with us at Sunnyview Church of Christ. We are simply a group of New Testament Christians, seeking to adhere to New Testament principles. Our goal is to speak where the Bible speaks and to be silent where the Bible is silent. We have no creed but Christ, and no book but the Bible. We are not part of any denomination. We are simply the church you read about in the Scriptures.If you are interested in cutting through all of the religious confusion and division in the world today, and simply practice New Testament Christianity, you will feel at home at the Sunnyview church of Christ. What We Believe

We believe in God ( Gen. 1:1 ), the Bible is the Word of God ( 2 Tim. 3:16 ), and Jesus Christ is the Son of God ( Mat. 16:16 ).

We believe in the facts of the Gospel: Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day ( 1 Cor. 15:1-4 ).

We believe that people must obey the commands of the Gospel ( 2 The. 1:8 ): believe ( John 8:24 ), repent ( Acts 17:30 ), profession of faith ( Rom. 10:9-10 ), be baptized for the remission of sins ( Acts 2:38 ), and live faithfully
( Rev. 2:10 ).

We believe in the promises of the Gospel: Sins are blotted out ( Acts 3:19 ), the Lord adds the saved to His church ( Acts 2:47 ), and Heaven is the Christian’s eternal home ( John 14:1-3 ).

Tim Glasshof has been preaching for Sunnyview Church of Christ since November 2014. He is married to Angela. They have two daughters, Kristie and Courtney, and two grandchildren, Addison and Braylen. Tim is a 2014 graduate of the Memphis School Of Preaching.

"Biblical Faith"

Most people that believe in Jesus Christ agree that men are saved by God’s grace, and that grace is received through faith. The Bible teaches this plainly — “Therefore it is of faith that it might be by grace” (Rom. 4:16). The difficultly for many people however, lies in understanding how the Bible actually uses the word “faith.”God gives man a two-part definition of “faith” in Hebrews 11:1. The first part is “the assurance of things hoped for,” and the second is “the conviction of things not seen.” He then follows the definition with example after example of how men applied that faith to their lives.One example that he uses is Noah: “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house” (Heb. 11:7). Here the author applies the two-part definition of faith found in verse one. Noah demonstrated a conviction of things not seen as yet by believing in a worldwide flood, and he showed an assurance of things hoped for by trusting God would save his family.Now note how he applied his faith to his life: he “moved with fear, prepared an ark.” Because Noah believed and trusted God, he obeyed him. The faith that believes, trusts, and obeys is Biblical faith. Biblical faith is not just belief, nor is it simply belief and trust, rather it is belief and trust co-joined with obedience.Man is saved by God’s grace. It comes through man’s faith (Rom. 4:16). But the faith that channels grace is a faith that believes, trusts, and obeys. That is Biblical faith.
